Goa Institute of Management
Established in 1993, The Goa Institute of Management is
fast emerging as one of the country's premier Management education
institutes. It is a self-supporting, autonomous center for Post-Graduate
Management Education and Research. From modest beginnings, the Institute
has progressed in enormously and now boasts of some of the finest
faculty and carefully selected students.
From 1998 onwards, the students aspiring to join the institute
are required to qualify the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted
by the IIM's, as part of the selection process.
Under the leadership of the Director, Fr. Romuald D'Souza, the
Goa Institute Of Management has won acclaim from the industry. In
his 40 years of teaching experience, Fr. D'Souza has witnessed the
evolution of Management Education in India and is widely known for
his contribution to XLRI, Jamshedpur and XIM, Bhubaneswar.
The Goa Institute Of Management has entered the 21st century with

Bharatiya Veterinary College
Bharatiya Veterinary College, a unit of S.S. Foundation,
has been established for the purpose of conducting full time classes
in the faculty of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry,
leading to a five year BVSc & AH (Bachelor of Veterinary
Science and Animal Husbandry) programme, with an aim to serve the
veterinary profession, especially in the core disciplines concerning
the diary, poultry, sheep, goat, horse and other pet animals.
The object is to provide a forum for aspiring students to continue
veterinary education, enabling them to the best advantage of acquiring
scientific knowledge and high animal production techniques, which
is required to meet the increasing human demands. There is growing
demand for qualified and trained veterinarians, to meet the increasing
opportunities.
Veterinary profession caters to two main causes, one being the
service in terms of relief to the expressionlesss animals and, secondly,
protecting the interest of the human nutritive requirements, by
providing proteinatious food, through production techniques, disease
diagnosis and timely treatment.
